Steampunk (our version)

You know how some people love to run because of the endorphin high they get?  Well I guess you could say that's how I feel when I make a transformation, and I'm loving this months theme "Steampunk" because it's so artsy.   I think this is some of our best stuff ever, truly I do!

Even if your home is traditional don't be afraid to add a little touch of industrial to the mix.  It creates interest and makes it feel sophisticated and comfortable, not to stuffy.  To much of any one thing is not good in my designs but I do love a good mix.  So here is a preview of the store for August.

Lots of cool tables and warm lighting.

Steampunk is a sub-genre of science fictionfantasyalternate history, and speculative fiction that came into prominence during the 1980s and early 1990s.[1] Steampunk involves a setting where steam power is still widely used—usually the Victorian era Britain—that incorporates elements of either science fiction or fantasy. Works of steampunk often feature anachronistic technology or futuristic innovations as Victorians may have envisioned them; based on a Victorian perspective on fashionculturearchitectural styleart, etc. This technology may include such fictional machines as those found in the works of H. G. Wells and Jules Verne.
