Wine Bar

This is for Tracy! This piece is at Circa Arts Gallery in South Bend. Located on the corner of Hill and Colfax. It's a yellow/gold color that's neutral in my opinion, and would look fantastic in a red or Tomato colored living or dining room. Or even plum! if you want your dining room set to match, we do custom work too.

New Stuff!

We've been busy, but our new August display is now an early September display!!!

This white craft cabinet holds all kinds of unique containers. If you are a seamstress, or scrap booker you should check this out.

Some back to school items..wouldn't this look great in a child's room or play area? The desk is perfect for a laptop!
Some funky feminine items. A retro vanity, iron chair mirror, and jewelry from Urban Twist.
And not to be one is something more masculine. There
is so much more but you'll just have to make a trip to Middlebury, Indiana to see it all!

Going Green

I posted some photo's of my garden at the beginning of summer, and this is after some sun and rain! My daughter Rosemary is scouting the yard for produce.
These are my tomoto, and pepper and basil beds. They are 4 x 4 and hold 4 of each tomato's and pepper's and one basil in the center. I've already made sauce to freeze!
This is my perennial garden, with asparagus, strawberries, rubarb, herbs and flowers.
And there is always one that we have to rabbit proof! This is okra and sunflowers. Who would have thought that rabbits like the stems and leaves of sunflowers? They ate them all down and I replanted.

Sorry, it's been awhile! Life gets busy and I forget to take pictures, and what's a story without them...

The kids are going back to school and every one of them will want new tennis shoes. I just read that Nike will recycle your old shoes and turn them into basketball courts and running tracks. For more info via the Reuse-a-shoe program.

If you are painting this fall check out the low VOC paints for a greener method. My favorite paint company Benjamin Moore has a new paint called Aura. It's self-priming and never needs more than two coats.

And fresh from the is an easy one I made up last week and it was very tastee.

Boil your water and cook your favorite pasta, and while that is boiling...
Saute your favorite veggies in olive oil.
I used sweet onions
green pepper
yellow squash (I pick them small)

chopped tomatoes, basil, oregano, rosemary, parsley and thyme (I hear a song in there) add at the very end. Salt and pepper to taste.

When your pasta is done cooking, drain add a little olive oil and stir and a big dollop of ricotta cheese and mix well. Divide in bowls and top with the veggies.

Serve with a salad and some grilled garlic toast.
