Both abundance and lack exist simultaneously in our lives, as parallel realities. It is always our conscious choice which secret garden we will tend...when we choose not to focus on what is missing from our lives but are grateful for the abundance that's present--love, health, family, friends, work, the joys of nature and personal pursuits that bring us pleasure--the wasteland of illusion falls away and we experience Heaven on earth.

It was the week before First Friday when all chaos happens. My son Jeramiah was leaving for Hawaii and I was about l mile from my exit to the South Bend airport when he pleading looked at me and asked if I would take him to Chicago O'Hare airport instead. He was worried about making his connections. He apologized for not planning better.
I have to tell you, I have this thing about driving in Chicago, I just don't do it. Jeramiah is a wonderful navigator and traveling companion, with him I could get there but how in the world would I find my way back?
I drove by the exit, I needed the challenge but more importantly it gave me 2 more precious hours with my son. With his great directions I made it home without a hitch. (So who's up for Chicago?!)
Sometimes the mundane can turn into something wonderful, that is... if we don't let fear, time etc get in the way. I know my heart would have been full of regret if I had not done this simple favor.
my favorite flower this year Bears Breech It took 3 years to bloom, but was worth the wait. |
