Little House on the Lake

Stop by on June 6th from 5-9 PM for a cool treat at junk Evolution for cottage style, and let us take you back to a time when things were made to last as long as the memories!

My son Jeramiah and niece Jade
When we were young we spent countless hours in the most carefree way...going to our grandparent's cottage.  We didn't have a phone, air conditioning or television and we didn't miss them.
We slept in bunk beds under pink and white striped sheets that were dried in the sunshine. We played yard games like badmitten and hide and go seek until we were called in for the night.  We even got to bathe in the lake and would rub Noxema on our sunburn from the glass blue jar.
I loved the lake so much that our first home in the states was on a tiny lake in the woods.  Our family grew and our home didn't so we moved on to an Amish house with acres of land.  I'll always have a soft spot for the good old cottages.  They just don't make 'em like they used to.
Our collections this month will take you back to a time when things lasted as long as the memories.

Days gone by on Mud Lake with my sis and our oldest children.

Here's hoping your summer is filled with memories like these!
