From our Home to Yours...

A Very Merry Christmas!

I didn't do much in the way of decorating this year, and my inspiration came from the usual source NATURE, a pine tree that was planted to close to the garage and needed to come down.  The top of the tree is our Christmas tree, and the rest of the greens were used all around the house and shop.   I didn't spend any money to decorate, just used what I had.

This wreath is made with a very old Christmas tree stand with a
big screw in the middle that I capped with an ornamental ball.

A little candle tray to welcome visitors

I used greenery in existing containers.

on the side of our garage

On the front porch I used a pallet of silver, white and red

I didn't use a lot of lights so I used something
unusual and covered it with white lights.

A red tin with holly from my yard.

This is my Nativity Scene in the foyer.

I dug out my children's nutcracker collection for a fun mantel,
and added one of my grandfathers cannons.  I buy
outside lights on summer clearance to use at Christmas time.
They last a very long time.

My Charlie Brown tree, with a few birds and snowflake
ornaments.

In the face of ferocious hatred, believe in the possibility that there exists the potential for
equally as big, intense, lovely and fiery ferocious LOVE.   -kate swoboda
