Guest Post from Shannan

Hey, there! Flower Patch Farmgirl here.

Once or twice every year, I try to get out amongst the locals.

Oh, it feels so good.

I might be inclined to put on my zip-up boots and slap on a little shimmer.

I may even have a glass of champagne punch while I'm out. Who's to say?

All I know is, I owe a debt of gratitude to Char and Linda.

They lured me out again last Friday and it did this weary mama soul a whole lot of good.

As it turns out, a whole lotta people needed a Junk Fix.

The atmosphere was inviting. Maybe even a little bit electric.

(On account of the punch.)
I wandered the shop for over an hour and walked away wishing I'd had more time.

Char and Linda have an uncanny knack for knowing what we want.

Sometimes, we didn't even know that we wanted it, but they inspire confidence.
If they say it works - it works. And we want it.

Right now, they're buzzing over All Things French-inspired.

But they have something for everyone.

Take me for example.
It turns out, I was dying to wrap myself up in some candy-colored plaid.

In a woeful turn of events, I got wrapped up instead in appetizers and eye candy, and someone beat me to it.

Such a novice.
This rang my bell, too.
And then there was the jewelry!

I don't know where this originally came from, but I'm here to say that they may have grounds to take legal action against J Crew.

No offense, J Crew. You know I love you!

Have I ever mentioned my fondness for musical instruments?

And numbers?

And the perfect shade of green?

Here's what I love about Junk Evolution, in a nutshell: The experience is visual, it's tactile. They load me up on texture and gleam, they feed me. I walk away with a smile and a plan.

It's a walk in a dream, is what it is.
It's inspiring.
It's witty.
And it's just what I needed.

Thanks for the fun, girls. You do what you do so very well.

* Stop by and say hello! Char and Linda re-stock the shop daily, and next month's First Friday event will feature decor of the retro-mid century persuasion. Rumor has it the gals are already on the hunt for their costumes!

  1. You captured the evening fun so well. I came home with two white pitchers and witnessed others leaving with everything from a single cloth napkin to dining room furniture. Regardless of our purchase - we all left feeling like we'd found the best bargain.

  2. I swear, I get there at 5:15pm and I never saw that chair or that cherub. Things must have been flying off the shelves. LOVED my visit as well. The pic of the dressed pained me a little. It could have been mine, could have been mine. I'm half-kicking myself. Thanks to Char and Linda for a wonderful visit! See you all again soon! Fondly, Sarah (aka Ozzy) :)

  3. So fun! Love that chandelier. On a quick glance it looks so much like the one I made in our kitchen out of an antique broom holder. Wish I were closer!

  4. I love these junki'n gals. Once again I arrived half-hour late and of all the nerve someone already purchased what my heart was set on. Last year "Junk Evolution" was the best kept secret, not anymore! The store looked 'belle'.
