Dear junk Family and Friends from afar,
We've just completed a huge application to try to win a small business grant but need at least 250 votes to even be considered. It just takes a minute by going to this link www.missionsmallbusiness.com- and putting junk Evolution in as the business. Thank you for your support!

Recipes for chillin
While in Chicago a few years ago I ordered a wonderful lemonade and it's so simple to make. On 90 degree days like this the iced tea and lemonade are flowing heavily!
Make your 2 quart recipe country time or homemade (either is fine)
add a sprig of sweet basil
and 4 smashed ripe strawberries to the pitcher
Refrigerate for an hour to let the flavors release and serve. You can add fresh strawberries and basil to the glasses for garnish.
I made up another one last week because my lavender is in full bloom.
to a pitcher of lemonade add:
one small bunch of rinsed lavender
and a bunch of lemon balm
The extra addition of herbs adds a wonderful sweetness.

Mahalo
June 1st First Friday may have been cold outside but our shop was nice and warm and full of Aloha. Many, many thanks (mahalo) to Miss Dena Woods who serenaded us though-out the evening and arranged for The Bergamot to play later in the night.
We're sorry that the weather didn't allow our Shaved Ice vendor to come, but the Purple Porch was such a great addition to our green space outside. We didn't serve any refreshments because we really want people to support the food vendors. Thanks for your support and understanding about taking care of the small business owners in DTSB!
